Rocco, MD is a University of Rochester Medical Center cardiologist and Clinical Professor Emeritus of Medicine whose career has included senior leadership roles across several Rochester-area health systems, including chief of cardiology at Highland Hospital and Unity Health System. A graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine who completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Vermont, Dr. Rocco has also led quality-improvement and cardiovascular research initiatives at the VA and served as a principal investigator on major NIH/NHLBI-supported trials such as ALLHAT, AFFIRM, and TOPCAT.
