Biography
Scott J. Cameron, MD, PhD is a cardiologist and vascular medicine specialist affiliated with the University of Rochester Medical Center, where he serves as an adjunct assistant professor of medicine. Originally trained in pharmacology at the University of Edinburgh and the University of Rochester, he earned his MD at SUNY Upstate, completed internal medicine residency at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell, and finished an integrated cardiology and vascular medicine fellowship in Rochester. His work has focused on thrombotic emergencies and platelet biology, and his UR profile notes that he founded the University of Rochester’s Pulmonary Embolism Response Team and maintains a cardiovascular research program centered on thrombotic and ischemic disease.
