Biography
Bradford C. Berk, MD, PhD, is a cardiologist-scientist at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where he serves as Senior Vice President for Health Sciences and professor of medicine, cardiology, and pharmacology. He earned both his MD and PhD at the University of Rochester and completed internal medicine and cardiology training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard. A notable figure in Rochester’s academic medicine community, he was recruited from the University of Washington to lead Rochester cardiology and later chaired the Department of Medicine, while also building a nationally recognized cardiovascular research program focused on vascular biology, blood-flow signaling, and oxidative stress.
