Richard Miller, M.D.

Dr. Richard J. Miller is a UR Medicine orthopaedic surgeon whose practice has focused on upper-extremity trauma and reconstruction, including shoulder, elbow, and hand procedures. He earned his medical degree at the University of Vermont, completed his orthopaedic residency and fellowship at the University of Rochester, and is board-certified and fellowship-trained in orthopaedic surgery and hand surgery. At Rochester, he has served as Professor Emeritus of Orthopaedics; his background also includes service as a U.S. Army commander and flight surgeon and a body of published work on surgical techniques and postoperative pain management.
