Biography
Mark Marinescu, MD is a cardiac intensivist at UR Medicine in Rochester who cares for patients with high-acuity heart disease and serves on the University of Rochester cardiology faculty. He earned his MD at the University of Rochester, completed internal medicine training at UVA Health, a cardiology fellowship at Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, and critical care fellowship training at Cleveland Clinic. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and critical care medicine, and his recent academic work includes a 2025 University of Rochester pilot award for research on microplastic exposure during cardiopulmonary bypass.
