Biography
Dr. Jeffrey D. Alexis is a Rochester cardiologist focused on advanced heart failure, heart transplantation, and ventricular assist device care at UR Medicine, where he is a Professor of Medicine. He earned his M.D. from Harvard Medical School, completed internal medicine training at Massachusetts General Hospital, and finished his cardiology fellowship at Mount Sinai. A distinguishing part of his work is leadership in mechanical circulatory support: UR Medicine has identified him as medical director of its LVAD program, and his research has focused on improving outcomes for patients with left ventricular assist devices.
