Biography
James P. Daubert, MD, is a cardiac electrophysiologist and Duke Health physician who earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College and completed his internal medicine, cardiology, and electrophysiology training at Duke; he is board certified in internal medicine and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. The University of Rochester’s cardiology history credits him with leading a major expansion of its electrophysiology program after becoming director in 1992, and an ABIM profile notes that he later returned to Duke to serve as chief of cardiac electrophysiology and has focused his research on sudden cardiac death, implantable defibrillators, cardiac resynchronization therapy, inherited arrhythmias, and atrial fibrillation.
