Biography
Mohan Rao, MD is a cardiac electrophysiologist with Rochester Regional Health’s Sands-Constellation Heart Institute in Rochester. He earned his medical degree at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, completed his internal medicine residency at Rochester General Hospital, and later trained in both cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Rochester; during that path, he also completed an NIH postdoctoral research fellowship focused on hypoxia response and arterial thrombosis. A distinguishing part of his career is his role in medical education: he founded Rochester Regional Health’s Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship and serves as its program director, while also contributing to published cardiovascular research, including work indexed in PubMed.
