Joseph Ferraro, MD

Joseph T. Ferraro, MD is a UR Medicine orthopaedic surgeon in Rochester who focuses on hand, wrist, elbow, and peripheral nerve surgery. He earned his MD at SUNY Buffalo, completed orthopaedic surgery residency at the University at Buffalo, and went on to a hand and upper extremity fellowship at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. At the University of Rochester, he serves as an Assistant Professor in Orthopaedics with a joint appointment in Plastic Surgery and is part of the Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship faculty. His academic interests include microsurgery, scaphoid fracture and collapse surgery, nerve and tendon transfers, and research on metacarpal stress fractures and hand infections.
