Biography
Dr. James Thompson is a Buffalo-area psychiatrist who earned both his undergraduate degree and his medical degree at the University at Buffalo’s Jacobs School of Medicine, then completed psychiatry residency there. During training, he was noted for strong teaching evaluations and completed an award-recognized quality improvement project focused on reducing rehospitalization in ECMC’s early psychosis unit. Public hospital records also indicate that he is board certified in psychiatry and previously served as an attending psychiatrist and clinical senior instructor at the University of Rochester Medical Center before returning to practice in Buffalo.
