Dr. Russell Pizzo is a Buffalo psychiatrist affiliated with UBMD Psychiatry and serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine. He earned his MD at UB in 2019 and completed his psychiatry residency there in 2023, with additional training experience in inpatient, emergency, and intensive care psychiatry, including work focused on psychosis and mania. A distinctive part of his background is his path into medicine after an earlier career as an auto mechanic, and he has also been recognized for medical education with recent teaching honors at UB.
