Biography
Claudia Hriesik, MD, PhD, is a Rochester-based colorectal surgeon with UR Medicine’s Division of Colon & Rectal Surgery. She earned her medical degree at Hannover Medical School in Germany and went on to complete fellowship training in surgical oncology at the University of Pittsburgh and colon and rectal surgery at the Cleveland Clinic; she is board certified in both general surgery and colon and rectal surgery. According to Rochester Colon & Rectal Surgeons, she was among the first surgeons to bring robotic colorectal surgery to Rochester and previously served as chair of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons’ International Committee.
