Biography
Philip M. Stegemann, MD, is chief of orthopaedics at ECMC and a clinical associate professor of orthopaedics at the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine. Trained at SUNY Buffalo for medical school, internship, and orthopaedic residency, he has spent much of his career in Buffalo, including prior service at the VA Medical Center and a long tenure leading ECMC’s orthopaedic service. His clinical background includes trauma, joint replacement, and extensive shoulder surgery experience, and he has also mentored more than 120 orthopaedic residents while remaining involved in shoulder arthroplasty research and resident education.
