Biography
Joseph M. Kowalski, MD, is an orthopedic spine surgeon in Buffalo who serves as director of the Spine Center at ECMC and is a clinical assistant professor of orthopaedics at the University at Buffalo. He earned his medical degree at UB, completed his orthopaedic surgery training in Buffalo, and went on to a spine fellowship at Emory University. His clinical and academic work has centered on complex spinal conditions, with particular experience in trauma, deformity, and revision spine surgery.
