Biography
Dr. Rebecca Schaeffer is a Buffalo child and adolescent psychiatrist who trained at the University at Buffalo, where she earned her medical degree at the Jacobs School and completed both her psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship before joining the faculty as a clinical assistant professor. UB’s fellowship placement record notes that she went on to serve as an inpatient attending on the Acute Adolescent Psychiatry Unit at Erie County Medical Center, and her academic work has included a child psychiatry research project focused on diagnostic considerations in early adolescent cognitive decline.
