Dale R. Wheeler, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained hand and upper-extremity orthopaedic surgeon at Excelsior Orthopaedics. He earned his medical degree from Upstate Medical University after undergraduate study at Northwestern University, and completed both his orthopaedic residency and clinical fellowship at the University at Buffalo. Excelsior notes that he has participated in Buffalo’s fellowship training program since its inception, and he has also coauthored peer-reviewed research on hand surgery outcomes, including trigger finger after carpal tunnel release.
