Biography
Alan R. Posner, MD, is a Buffalo surgeon with UBMD Surgery and a clinical assistant professor at the University at Buffalo’s Jacobs School of Medicine. He earned his MD from Albany Medical College and completed a minimally invasive surgery fellowship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. A distinguishing part of his current work is surgical education and leadership: he serves as program director of UB’s Advanced GI & Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship, and his academic interests include bariatric surgery outcomes, obesity treatment, and robotic surgery.
