Biography
Dr. Myra Mathis-Uwanogho is a board-certified psychiatrist at the University of Rochester Medical Center with additional certification in addiction psychiatry. She earned her MD at the University of Rochester and completed her psychiatry residency and addiction psychiatry fellowship at Yale New Haven Hospital. At UR Medicine, she serves as Clinical Chief for Addiction Psychiatry, overseeing Strong Recovery and the Westfall Practice, and also directs the Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship Program. Her academic interests include improving access to evidence-based addiction and mental health treatment, particularly for marginalized communities.
