Biography
Jeffrey M. Lyness, MD, is a professor emeritus at the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry and a geriatric psychiatrist who previously served as the school’s Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and directed Rochester’s Geriatric Psychiatry Program. A University of Rochester medical school graduate who completed psychiatry residency at Yale before returning to Rochester for geriatric psychiatry fellowships, he has also conducted research on depression and medical illness in older adults and now serves as President and CEO of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
