Biography
Dr. Benedict F. DiGiovanni is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and Professor of Orthopaedics at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where he has practiced since 1999. He completed orthopaedic training at Case Western Reserve University and foot-and-ankle fellowships at the Medical College of Wisconsin and the American Sports Medicine Institute. In addition to his clinical work, he has held educational leadership roles at Rochester, including directing the musculoskeletal curriculum, and his research has included influential studies on plantar fasciitis treatment, including a randomized trial of plantar fascia-specific stretching.
