Biography
Dr. Segundo Robert-Ibarra is a child and adolescent psychiatrist who serves as Chief of Acute Services in the University of Rochester Medical Center’s Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and joined the division’s executive leadership team in 2023, with responsibility for inpatient, consultation-liaison, partial hospital, and urgent mental health services for children and teens, including Brighter Days Pediatric Mental Health Urgent Care. He earned his medical degree from the Universidad Nacional de Asuncion in Paraguay and completed both his adult psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine; he is board certified in adult psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. Before coming to Rochester, he spent many years as a clinician and educator at Legacy Community Health in Houston and also served on the HOPE Unit and Adolescent Treatment Program at The Menninger Clinic.
