Biography
Vineeth John, MD, MBA, is a psychiatrist with a longstanding background in academic psychiatry and physician education. His McGovern Medical School profile notes that he earned his medical degree at Christian Medical College in Vellore, India, completed psychiatry residency at Tufts-New England Medical Center, and pursued fellowship training in geriatric psychiatry at the University of Miami-Jackson Memorial Hospital; he later served in senior academic leadership roles at UTHealth Houston, including professor, vice chair for education, and director of geriatric psychiatry. At the University of Rochester, he was selected for a Dean’s Teaching Fellowship for work on cognitive de-biasing in psychiatry and has also led creativity-focused educational workshops for trainees and faculty.
