Biography
Dr. Christina Sanders is a board-certified general surgeon and bariatric surgeon who serves as Medical Director of Synergy Bariatrics and Program Director of the Bariatric Surgery Fellowship at ECMC. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University at Buffalo, where her academic focus includes obesity, minimally invasive surgery, and robotic surgery. Sanders earned her D.O. from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed general surgery training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, pursued an advanced laparoscopic surgery fellowship at Cleveland Clinic, and later completed an MBA in healthcare management at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School.
