Biography
David Holmes, MD, is a Buffalo family physician at the ECMC Family Health Center whose work has focused on primary care, medical education, and service in medically underresourced communities. He is also a clinical associate professor in the University at Buffalo’s Department of Family Medicine and serves in leadership roles in global health education and the ECMC family medicine residency program, according to University at Buffalo.
UB’s medical school has recognized Holmes for a career that includes helping co-found two faith-based free clinics in Buffalo and building long-running global health work in Haiti and other settings. He earned his medical degree from the University of Vermont and completed his family medicine residency at UB, where he went on to remain in practice and teaching on Buffalo’s East Side, as noted in a UB alumni profile.
