Biography
Laura Calvi, M.D., is a University of Rochester physician-scientist and SKAWA Foundation Professor in Endocrinology and Metabolism. She earned her medical degree at Harvard Medical School, completed internal medicine residency and endocrinology fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital, and leads Wilmot Cancer Institute’s Cancer Microenvironment Research Program. Her research focuses on the bone marrow microenvironment and hematopoietic stem cells, and she has served in national leadership as president-elect of the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research.
