Paulo Leonel Lizano, M.D., PH.D.

Paulo Lizano, MD, PhD is a psychiatrist and neuroscientist at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where he serves as chief of academic affairs for community psychiatry and directs the Early Psychosis Research Program. Harvard-trained in psychiatry and behavioral neurology/neuropsychiatry, he previously led Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center’s ASPIRE Clinic for early psychosis. His research focuses on translational neuropsychiatry, including retinal and brain imaging, inflammation, and other biomarkers aimed at improving early detection and treatment of psychotic disorders.
