Biography
Joseph R. Ciccone, MD is a psychiatrist at UR Medicine and Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester School of Medicine, where he founded the Psychiatry and Law Program and serves with the forensic psychiatry fellowship. A nationally recognized leader in forensic psychiatry, he received the American Psychiatric Association’s Isaac Ray Award for contributions to the field and previously served as president of the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law. He trained in psychiatry at the University of Rochester Medical Center and is board certified in psychiatry.
