Mehdi A. Khan, DO, is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon with Retina Consultants of Western New York. He completed ophthalmology residency at Nassau University Medical Center/SUNY Stony Brook, served as chief resident, and went on to a two-year vitreoretinal surgical fellowship at Tulane University Medical Center under Gholam Peyman, MD. His background also includes co-authoring scientific articles, publishing a chapter on diabetic retinopathy, and serving as a lieutenant colonel and flight surgeon in the U.S. Air Force.
