Biography
Hochang Benjamin (Ben) Lee, MD, is the John Romano Professor and chair of psychiatry at the University of Rochester, where he also serves as chief of psychiatry at Strong Memorial Hospital. Before coming to Rochester, he was the founding director and chief of Yale’s Psychological Medicine Service. He earned his MD at Jefferson Medical College and completed psychiatry residency and fellowship training at Johns Hopkins; his work has focused on integrating behavioral health into medical and surgical care and on preventing neuropsychiatric complications such as delirium and depression in older adults after major surgery.
