Biography
Dr. Eric D. Caine is a board-certified psychiatrist at UR Medicine and Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester Medical Center. He earned his MD from Harvard Medical School and completed psychiatry residency training at Massachusetts Mental Health Center and the NIH Clinical Center. At Rochester, he served from 1996 to 2017 as John Romano Professor and Chair of Psychiatry and co-founded the university’s Center for the Study and Prevention of Suicide; he also continues to mentor psychiatry residents through case conferences and teaching.
