Biography
Theodore Hirokawa, MD is a Rochester surgeon and Clinical Professor Emeritus in the University of Rochester’s Department of Surgery. A graduate of the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, he has longstanding ties to Highland Hospital and was part of the team that performed the Rochester area’s first HeRO device procedure for dialysis access in 2010. He has also coauthored published case reports on uncommon surgical conditions, including gallbladder torsion and wandering spleen.
