Biography
Maria Durdach, MD, is a bariatric and general surgeon at UR Medicine/Highland Hospital, where she serves as an Assistant Professor of Surgery. She completed a bariatric surgery fellowship at the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences after general surgery residency training at the University of Rochester Medical Center, and earned her MD from Penn State College of Medicine. In Rochester, she was recognized with the Resident of the Year and Chief Resident Teaching awards for 2021-2022, and in 2024 she performed UR Medicine Highland’s first robotic bariatric surgery.
