J Steven Lamberti, M.D.

Dr. J. Steven Lamberti is a psychiatrist at UR Medicine and a professor of psychiatry at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where he has held senior academic leadership roles and chairs the Research Subject Review Board for Behavioral and Social Sciences. He earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri and completed both psychiatry residency training and a neuropsychiatry fellowship at Rochester. His work has centered on schizophrenia and other severe mental disorders, including leadership in developing Rochester’s forensic assertive community treatment model for people at risk of repeated hospitalization or incarceration, and he is board certified in general psychiatry.
