Biography
Donald D. Hickey, MD, is a Buffalo-area surgeon and surgical intensivist who is a member of the University at Buffalo medical school class of 1978. At UB, he served as a research assistant professor of physiology and biophysics and a clinical assistant professor of neurosurgery, and he is especially noted for developing the Hickey Cardiac Monitoring System, a line of noninvasive cardiac-pressure monitoring inventions that led to multiple patents.
