Biography
Jeffrey Steinig, MD, FACS, is a Buffalo surgeon who has served as a general and laparoscopic surgeon at Mercy Hospital since 1995 and was named Medical Director of Palliative Care Services there. He previously led the Mercy Hospital medical staff and has held regional and national leadership roles with the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Steinig earned his medical degree from the University at Buffalo’s Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, where he also completed an internship and surgical research fellowship, and went on to complete his surgical residency in Savannah, Georgia.
