Biography
Dr. Edward Spangenthal is a cardiologist at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, where he serves as Clinical Chief of Cardiology and is an assistant professor of medicine; he also holds a clinical instructor role at the University at Buffalo. He earned his MD from SUNY Upstate Medical University, completed his internal medicine residency at Strong Memorial Hospital, and finished a cardiology fellowship at SUNY Buffalo. A distinguishing focus of his work is cardio-oncology, including care for patients whose cancer treatment affects the heart, and Roswell Park notes that he has provided cardiology consultative services there for more than 20 years.
