She earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine with highest honors after graduating magna cum laude from Rice University, then completed a transitional internship at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center in Denver and a dermatology residency at Johns Hopkins Medicine. A distinguishing part of her background is her early academic recognition, including Junior Alpha Omega Alpha at Baylor, along with published work on dermatology patient experience and treatment perspectives, including studies on skin exams and isotretinoin adverse effects.
