Biography
Dr. Robert P. Gatewood Jr. is a cardiologist in the Buffalo area whose training included Georgetown University School of Medicine, an internal medicine residency at SUNY Buffalo, and cardiology fellowship training at the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital. He also serves as a faculty coach at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo. A longtime noninvasive cardiologist with a particular interest in echocardiography, he has been credited with helping introduce newer echo techniques in the Buffalo region, and he has also contributed to research on smartphone-based arrhythmia detection.
