Biography
Addisu Mesfin, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic spine surgeon who completed residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital and adult and pediatric spine fellowship training at Washington University in St. Louis. At the University of Rochester, he served as an associate professor and spinal fellowship director, and was noted for introducing en bloc spondylectomy to Western New York. His Rochester work also highlighted research interests in spine tumors and surgical outcomes and a strong commitment to mentoring, recognized with the university’s Faculty Diversity Award.
