Biography
Dr. Carla Frederick is a Buffalo pulmonologist and associate professor at the University at Buffalo whose work focuses on cystic fibrosis and bronchiectasis. She serves as the adult director of Buffalo’s Cystic Fibrosis Center, the only Cystic Fibrosis Foundation-accredited program in Western New York, and helps lead pulmonary care and teaching for fellows, residents, and medical students at Buffalo General Medical Center. A UB medical school graduate, she completed combined internal medicine and pediatrics residency training followed by pulmonary fellowships at the University at Buffalo and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and she has also led and contributed to clinical research on new cystic fibrosis therapies.
