Biography
Marshall Lichtman, MD, is a University of Rochester professor emeritus of medicine in hematology/oncology and of biochemistry and biophysics, and dean emeritus of the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. A longtime hematology leader, he served as chief of Rochester’s hematology division, president of the American Society of Hematology, and executive vice president for research and medical affairs at the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society; in 2017, ASH awarded him its Wallace H. Coulter Award for Lifetime Achievement in Hematology.
