Behrouz Jafari, MD, is a physician-researcher whose work has focused on sleep medicine, especially the cardiovascular and vascular effects of obstructive sleep apnea. He has held a faculty appointment as an Associate Professor of Medicine at UC Irvine, where his listed research interests include sleep breathing disorders and endothelial dysfunction. Earlier, he published from the Yale Center for Sleep Medicine and was highlighted in a Yale News report on research identifying biomarkers linked to vascular dysfunction in patients with sleep apnea.
