Biography
Dr. Michael Mendoza is a Rochester family physician and public health leader who serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Trillium Health. He is also a professor at the University of Rochester in family medicine and public health-related departments, with clinical work centered in primary care and population health.
Before joining Trillium, Mendoza served as Monroe County’s Commissioner of Public Health, a role he held from 2016 to 2024. He earned his medical degree from the University of Chicago, an MPH from the University of Illinois Chicago, and completed residency training in family and community medicine at the University of California, San Francisco.
