Biography
Telva E. Olivares, MD is an internist-psychiatrist at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where she is a professor of clinical psychiatry and clinical medicine and completed the institution’s combined medicine-psychiatry residency in 1999. Her career has centered on integrated care for medically and psychiatrically complex patients; she founded the inpatient Med-Psych unit in 2007 and has long led Lazos Fuertes, a bilingual mental health program created to serve Rochester’s Hispanic community. She is board certified in psychiatry.
