Steven E Lipshultz, MD

Steven E. Lipshultz, MD, is a professor of pediatrics at the University at Buffalo and a nationally recognized pediatric cardiologist whose work has focused on pediatric cardiomyopathy and cardio-oncology. At UB, he previously served as chair of pediatrics, pediatric chief of service at Kaleida Health, and medical director for pediatrics at Oishei Children’s Hospital; earlier in his career, he led pediatric research and clinical programs at Children’s Hospital of Michigan. He trained at Dartmouth, Case Western Reserve, and Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard, and his research leadership includes founding the NIH-funded Pediatric Cardiomyopathy Registry and chairing the American Heart Association’s statements on pediatric cardiomyopathy.
