Biography
Dr. Matthew Cavagnaro is an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist with Buffalo Medical Group. He earned his M.D. from the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, completed orthopedic surgery residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, and went on to a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles. His practice has a notable focus on sports-related shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee injuries, including problems in throwing athletes, and he has also co-authored peer-reviewed research on shoulder reconstruction techniques.
