Dr. Melanie Shearer is an optometrist with UR Medicine’s Flaum Eye Institute, where she works with the Well Eye Care and Low Vision teams. A Webster, New York native, she earned her O.D. from SUNY College of Optometry in 2009 and was valedictorian of her class; she also holds a part-time faculty appointment as a senior instructor of clinical ophthalmology at the University of Rochester.
