Colleen Fogarty, MD, MSC.

Colleen T. Fogarty, MD, MSc, is a family physician in Rochester, New York, who practices primary care at Highland Family Medicine and serves as chair of the University of Rochester Medical Center’s Department of Family Medicine. She cares for children and adults and has longstanding clinical interests in integrating mental health into primary care, supporting patients with post-trauma symptoms, and patient-centered communication.

Dr. Fogarty earned her MD from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, completed family medicine residency training and a chief residency at Highland Hospital/University of Rochester, and later received a master’s degree in epidemiology and biostatistics from Boston University School of Public Health. She returned to Rochester in 2004 to join the University of Rochester’s Department of Family Medicine after practicing in community health and academic family medicine settings.
