Dr. David A. Shiple is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist focused on cornea and cataract surgery. His practice profile notes that he previously served as an assistant professor in ophthalmology at the University of Rochester, completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Virginia, and pursued cornea and external disease fellowship training at the University of Rochester. He earned his MD from The Ohio State University College of Medicine cum laude and was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, and he has coauthored ophthalmology literature including a review of surgical approaches to presbyopia.
