Geoffrey Bernas, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic sports medicine surgeon with UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics at the University at Buffalo. He earned his medical degree at SUNY Upstate, completed orthopaedic surgery residency at SUNY Buffalo, and went on to a University of Michigan sports medicine and shoulder surgery fellowship. Distinguishing parts of his background include the AOSSM Herodicus Society North American Traveling Fellowship and team physician roles with University at Buffalo basketball, the Buffalo Bandits, and the Rochester Americans.
